A more sustainable alternative

From the very beginning, Mon Col Anvers wanted to offer a stylish and more sustainable alternative to fast fashion through careful material selection (certified organic cotton, EcoVero, recycled materials), production in EU-regulated facilities, and durable design. Why buy a dress to wear to just one party if you can choose for a piece of clothing you can wear to different occasions and adapt according to your mood and personal style?

Fabrics

We carefully select our fabrics and all our main fabrics are natural materials. Where synthetic components exist (e.g., elastic, threads), these are selected for functionality and durability. We pick the most sustainable materials including: deadstock fabrics (reducing textile waste), GOTS-certified organic cotton (see the certificates), FSC-certified lyocell (EcoVero), and linen. Each is selected for environmental and quality benefits.

Print inks are REACH-compliant (Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and free of hazardous substances listed under REACH Annex XIV. They meet OEKO-Tex Standard 100 requirements for textile chemicals.

Production

Each piece in the Mon Col collection is designed in Belgium and produced in Poland and Portugal. The production facilities in Poland and Portugal comply with EU labor law and the amount of transportation (EU-based, within 2,000 km of Belgium) is reduced.

Recycle

Lookbooks, tags and correspondence are all printed on recycled paper and we reuse our boxes until end of life. We pack our clothing in water soluble bags. These bags dissolve in hot water (80°C or above) within a few minutes, also in cold water at a slower rate. The bags are also biodegradable.
